Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 25, 2026

Viralcue ("we," "our," or "us") operates the viralcue.io platform and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered video analytics platform.

By using Viralcue, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not access or use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication credentials managed through our authentication provider (Supabase). If you sign up via a third-party provider (e.g., Google), we receive the profile information you authorize.

Video Content and URLs

When you submit content for analysis, we collect the video URLs you provide (from Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or TikTok) or the video files you upload (MP4, MOV). We also collect the metadata, transcripts, and analytical scores generated by our AI during processing.

Creator DNA Data

If you use the Creator DNA feature, we analyze the transcripts, pacing, vocabulary, and structural patterns of your top-performing videos to generate a voice fingerprint profile. This derived data is stored on your account.

Instagram Account Data

If you connect your Instagram account, we collect your public profile information, follower metrics, and engagement data to power our growth tracking features.

Billing Information

Payment data (credit card numbers, billing addresses) is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. We receive only the information necessary to manage your subscription (e.g., last four digits, expiration date, billing status).

Usage and Device Information

We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, timestamps, browser type, device information, and IP address.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide AI-powered video analysis and generate Virality Scorecards with 5-dimension scoring
  • Build and maintain your Creator DNA voice fingerprint profile
  • Generate voice-matched scripts through Script Studio
  • Enable competitor tracking and comparison analytics
  • Transcribe video content with timestamps
  • Generate content ideas through the Idea Bank
  • Track Instagram growth and engagement metrics
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Improve and refine our AI models using aggregated, anonymized data
  • Send service-related communications and updates
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse

3. AI and Data Processing

Viralcue uses artificial intelligence to analyze your video content. When you submit a video for analysis, the content is sent to our AI processing partners (including Anthropic and Google) for structural analysis, scoring, and feedback generation.

Video file handling: Uploaded videos are securely processed, analyzed, and then immediately discarded from our active processing servers. We only store the resulting structural metrics, scores, and transcripts — not the original video files.

Transcription: Audio transcription is performed using Deepgram. Audio data is processed in real-time and is not retained by the transcription provider after processing is complete.

Creator DNA: Your Creator DNA profile is derived data generated from analysis of your content. It is stored privately on your account and is not shared with other users.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the following service providers who are necessary to operate our platform:

We may also disclose your information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Data Retention

  • Video files: Discarded immediately after processing and analysis is complete.
  • Analysis results, transcripts, and scores: Stored on your account for as long as your account remains active.
  • Account data: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and operational purposes.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, secure authentication protocols, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, and regular security reviews of our infrastructure and third-party providers.

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence through our cloud infrastructure providers. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses where required.
